SEA – Sue Handy Scholarship Information

The SEA – Sue Handy Memorial scholarship was instituted in honor of Sue Handy, a revered Springfield educator who taught at Butler Elementary for many years.  Sue loved teaching, wanted to encourage students to become educators and had dreamed of creating such a scholarship. Unfortunately before she was able to put it in place, she lost her battle with cancer.

The scholarship was instituted in honor of Sue Handy, and has been continued under the auspices of the SEA since 1990. It is awarded annually to the children of Springfield Education Association members who have a child with the passion to become an educator and willing to declare that intent. Please utilize the information below to begin the application process.
